Below some services which allow to download air quality data from Airbase (before 2013 – before AQ eReporting), E1a and E2a from AQ eReporting.

For the other data flows as well as statistics, you can also download data and information from the viewers which are labelled under Data tables.

Air Quality Download service

Download Service provides access to air quality measurements time series. You can filter and download the verified data (E1a) reported by countries by 30 September each year for the previous year and the most recent unverified data transmitted continuously (Up To Date/UTD/E2a)

Airbase (2000 – 2012) – to be discontinued in June 2024

The Airbase download service covers historic data from the year 2000 to 2012 (both including). The download service is based on pre-prepared csv files and the service helps you to extract the list of files to be downloaded matching your search criteria based on our meta database.

E1a (from 2013) – to be discontinued in June 2024

Data available in this download service comes from two dataflows: E1a and E2a. It is based on access to pre-prepared csv files and the service helps you to extract the list of files to be downloaded matching your search criteria.

This service allows to download E1a and E2a data for the current year.

Zone geometries

Zone geometries can be downloaded from the direct link: https://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/FME/AQZones/

Discodata Discodata is a public tool and service where anybody can access data published by the European Environment Agency (EEA). It offers two functionalities:
  • A web application to inspect and query databases using SQL.
  • An API to get data from databases, using SQL queries, as JSON information.
